Let’s deliberately create the New Brunswick/PEI bubble (and bring NS along when possible)

I have heard informally about efforts to promote local tourism this summer.  I would double-down on this and push hard.  I think all the regional DMOs in the two provinces and provincial tourism departments should formally get together and plan how they are going to turn their mighty marketing efforts inward.

Edmundston should encourage its residents to visit Saint John and Summerside to Bathurst and vice versa – it’s weird but it would have an important economic effect.  If 1,000 Edmundstonians visit Charlottetown and vice versa, they will be staying in hotels and spending on restaurants, etc. and vice versa. They both win compared to everyone staying at home.

Instead of competing – this summer the DMOs should collaborate – intentionally.
