Ron Gaudet was my old boss at EGM a decade ago. He was head of the organization for 10 years or so right in the middle of the resurgence of the 1990s and early 2000s. He is now the new CEO of Windsor and Essex County’s economic development commission. In the past few years, he has been VP over at ABU.
I wish him well in the new position. Windsor is a challenging place. I see in the article this commission has been through a pile of CEOs in the past few years. I think Ron is a good consensus builder and that is likely a key skill up there.
I’m not quite sure why but I feel a little older today.
When it comes to economic theory in the maritimes (and Gaudets), I tend to listen to former maritimers who see it from the outside (but know the lay of the land):

You feel old? I remember when Ron began his post in Moncton and yes, it seems like a lightyear ago. All the best to Ron in this new role.
there is no relation between Kevin Gaudet and Ron Gaudet. Same last name but not same family … @Samonymous
