I just noticed that this is my 1,401st blog. I might not mention this to my wife….
October 2004 to August 2007. Roughly three years. More than a blog a day, on average.
Enough original writing to fill three Harry Potter books. Enough comments – mostly anonymous but some named – to fill another two Harry Potter books.
Of course, no dough in it for me.
Maybe I should stop blogging and try my hand at writing some fiction.
Nah, my gramm (er) is way to bad for that.
Plus, in many ways its more fun to blog. Except that I can’t kill off my characters at the end.
I wonder if I’ll be writing my 2,800th blog in three years from now or my 5,600th blog in 12 years from now?
To paraphrase one of my favourite movies:
Wherever there is injustice, you will find us.
Wherever there is suffering, we’ll be there.
Wherever liberty is threatened, you will find…
The Three Amigos!
Actually, it’s really me, Mikel from Waterloo, that Geeky guy that plays hockey, a few other faithfuls and a pile of anonymouses (if that’s a word).
But we will continue to challenge government. We will continue to mock the hypocrisy of spin doctors. We (I) will continue to serve up barely legible charts and graphs trying to prove a self-evident point or two. And most of all we’ll jab at guys like Al Hogan who like their readers to be dopey and in a trance like state.
No trances here.
