T&T’s monthly subterfuge

The Times & Trash-script published their monthly assessment of the labour market in New Brunswick. Along with the chief propagandist, Samuel LeBreton, we get the picture that things are still booming in New Brunswick. The government spokesperson expects this strong growth to continue.

This is almost an exact duplicate of last month, and the month before and the month before…

Problem is, we have exported more people than imported (out-migration) for 13 straight years. Problem is, New Brunswick’s job growth is the worst in Atlantic Canada over the past 8-10 years – only Manitoba and Saskatchewan have faired worse.

“Our economy remains strong and the unemployment rate is steady. We will continue to look at these numbers over the long term, but I am confident that they will continue to improve,” said Training and Employment Development Minister Margaret-Ann Blaney.

I hope she’s right….
