Golly, gee whiz

Well, no sooner had I written a blog about the need for Canada to stop with all the rhetoric and start doing something to redress our declining position in the world, when I stumbled across another disturbing warning sign.

According to the IMS’s World Competitiveness Report, Canada dropped from 3rd to 5th this year and we are now behind the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore and Iceland. The Competitiveness Report is based on 314 competitiveness criteria grouped into the four Competitiveness Factors:
Economic Performance, Government Efficiency, Business Efficiency and Infrastructure.

There is a continuing erosion of Canada’s position in the world and this is one more indicator.
